Project Overview
Hammac Scaffolding recently completed a challenging scaffolding installation at the historic Cage building at Lyme Park National Trust, supporting essential restoration work carried out by Quadriga Ltd.
About the Site
The Cage at Lyme Park is a Grade II* listed building with significant historical importance. Originally constructed around 1580, this remarkable structure served dual purposes:
- By day: A hunting lodge where ladies of the estate could observe the hunt in comfort
- By evening: An elegant banqueting hall for entertaining guests
The building commands stunning views over the nearby moors and 1,300 acres of beautiful parkland, making it one of Lyme Park’s most distinctive features.
Project Challenges
Access to this heritage site presented considerable logistical challenges. The remote location and the need to protect the sensitive historical environment required careful planning and execution. Despite these complexities, our team successfully delivered all materials on time, ensuring the restoration schedule remained on track.
Our Commitment
This project exemplifies our dedication to meeting our customers’ needs, no matter how demanding the circumstances. At Hammac Scaffolding, we understand that heritage restoration work requires not only technical expertise but also flexibility, reliability, and respect for historical sites.
